Aquamarine Homework Week 2

Happy Friday everyone,

Thank you for the contributions towards our smoothie making excitement. So much wonderful learning come from the experience. In maths we did a survey and voted for our top five ingredients and used a tally chart to record results. We planned and ‘built’ our smoothie and wrote instructions about the steps we would take to make it. We obviously used some Food Technology skills to make our smoothie. We then designed a product label to go on our smoothie cup. Finally, in computing, we used a program to enter our results from the survey and present our data in a bar graph.

We have been looking at recognising patterns in Maths. We can find patterns based on size, colour and shape.

There were some wonderful costumes for World Book Day. We investigated comics and the characters which come from them. We read some different comics, found their features and then planned and created our own comic strip. A great day!

In RE we learnt about the meaning of Grace and how Christians believe God shows Grace and how we can show it.

We are starting to move on with our times table medals. Next week there will be a BIG focus cards testing. Practise hard over the weekend so that we can move on next week.

I completely understand it’s easy to forget with lots going on (I am guilty of this some weeks) but we are having a case of only about a quarter of children bringing back home readers this week. We still try to give a new home reader but if we could have a look at home and bring them in, this would be greatly appreciated as we then find it difficult rotating and then books may double up and be received more than once. TIA.

Enjoy the weekend all.
