The children enjoyed learning about the different types of telescopes and what they could do at the Mill Hill Observatory ! We had an opportunity to look at the sun through one of the telescope and saw a large red fire ball !
We learnt about Margaret Burbidge who was a pioneer scientist in 1944 at the University College of London Observatory in Mill Hill and carried on looking through her telescope, even though bombs were flying and dropping around her ! She lives in the U.S.A and has won numerous awards and accolades for her achievements.
Photos as promised !
