Our Curriculum

St Paul’s is committed to offering its pupils the widest possible learning opportunities.

Pupils in Nursery and Reception follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. Learning takes place through teacher led and organised play activities.

New Curriculum from 2014

The Government introduced a New National Curriculum which was implemented from September 2014. The national curriculum provides pupils with an introduction to the essential knowledge that they need to be educated citizens. It introduces pupils to the best that has been thought and said; and helps engender an appreciation of human creativity and achievement.

At Saint Paul’s we have looked carefully at how we deliver the curriculum; from September 2014 we have been delivering the New National Curriculum through a cross- curricular approach.

We no longer use Cornerstone to structure the delivery of the national curriculum.

If you would like a detailed overview of the themes we are using to teach the curriculum please request one by email  from your child’s class teacher via the office.

We aim to have the new curriculum map on the website by the 31st November.

We apologise for the inconvenience.
