Sycamore class are really enjoying learning about Judaism and its wonderful festivals. The children have enjoyed learning about Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot and Hanukkah and the different important traditions and meanings these festivals have.

A Sukkah is a hut-like structure in which someone sleeps, eats, and communes, during Sukkot. As for its religious symbolism, the sukkah’s purpose is to commemorate the time the Israelites spent in the wilderness after they were freed from slavery in Egypt.

They had to wander the desert for forty years! That must have been really difficult but they were really brave!

Yay! We are so thankful to have stopped wandering through the desert and can be safe in our Sukkah!
