How Is RE Taught At St Paul’s?

A high quality academic RE curriculum is essential in providing a broad and balanced curriculum.  As a Church school, the heart of RE at St Paul’s is the teaching of Christianity.  However as an inclusive community, the curriculum encourages and builds in time to learn about and foster respect for other religions and world views.  At St Paul’s we use the London Diocease Board for Schools (LDBS) curriculum as the basis for RE teaching.

Please see above the RE curriculum map from EYFS to Year 6.

Will My Child Go On Any RE Trips?

Yes! We regularly visit our parish church, St Paul’s New Southgate, which is just around the corner from the school. In addition, linked to RE topics in different year groups, classes have been to visit a variety of places of worship such as a Gurdwara, mosque, synagogue and temple.
