In Hazel Class we have been inspired in our writing by the brilliant book ‘Varjak Paw’ by S.F. Said. First, we wrote narratives from an alternative viewpoint. Then, we focused on Varjak’s experience of the big city. We wrote poems from Varjak’s perspective about being confronted by huge, horrible cars. Then we made our own picture books, being inspired by birds, weather, and the sky.
