Willow class loved learning about the Anglo Saxon, Viking conflict in History this half term. We especially liked living like Vikings in during our immersion day. We practiced making Viking Longships, ground bulgur wheat with a pestle and mortar, created our own battle strategies and practiced the classic Viking Shield Wall. We contemplated the wisdom Alfred the Great showed as a leader for England and finally made our own battle axes!
