In Sycamore Class we have been learning about habitats and food chains. The children designed a bug hotel for woodlouse using natural materials from our school grounds and took turns explaining about which materials are best to use, for example “we cannot use plastic as that is not kind to the earth.” The children also looked at producers and consumers in food chains – an apple tree is a producer but a tiger is a consumer.
