YR 2 and KS2 walked the Stations of the Cross, stopping at points along the way to consider what the journey was like for Jesus from the garden and his arrest to the cross.

They collected items on the way and put them into journey bags. They then created work to express the meanings behind these symbols.

At Station 2 the pupils drew a cross onto a stone. The stone was heavy and reminded them of the cross Jesus was made to carry. The symbol reminds Christians that God’s love is enduring.
