In Sycamore class we have written a recount and diary entry as different characters in Pattan’s Pumpkin. The children explored a variety of pumpkins in class. We measured them and explored their texture, weight, smell and look. Then we cut them open to feel their insides to build up our descriptive and imaginative language before we completed our writing.
